Before launch

  • Prize list confirmed and valued at retail value
  • Total prize value checked against DIA thresholds
  • Ticket price and maximum ticket count set
  • Public draw date, time and location set if required
  • Proceeds purpose documented
  • Committee approval minuted
  • Online sales checked against current DIA rules

During sales

  • Ticket purchaser details captured where required
  • Cash and online payments reconciled
  • Unsold tickets tracked
  • No changes to prizes after sales start unless legally allowed

Draw and close

  • Draw conducted as advertised
  • Winners contacted
  • Results recorded
  • Banking reconciled
  • Report completed
